Post services: past, present and future

Postage Stamps: Soviet Era (1918 - 1990)

All of us once in his or her life saw a postage stamp and has an idea what to do with this small piece of paper. Postage stamps are used to pre-pay a fee for postal services. We attached stamps to an envelope and show our intention to send the letter.

Today we can hold a conversation about various postage stamps that different countries issue from time immemorial. Stamps can be of diverse shape and stuff. For example, Switzerland made a stamp partly out of lace and one out of wood. In the USA produced one made of plastic. In the Netherlands a stamp was issued made of silver foil. This list we could keep on endlessly.

Some of you may be remember those times when the USSR existed!? At least arms race or cold war. Sure thing that period is an essential time for a majority of people who live now on the former territory of the Soviet Union. Why should you recall it? We are talking about the Stamps of the Soviet Era.

If you can read or depict some letters on these stamps, it’s great, cause every stamp bears evidence of great or/and unworthy event. Apparently, it doesn’t mean what country we bear in mind as postage stamps are universal means that preserv the history of nations.
