YouGotBeer: Buy Your Friend a Drink via E-mail

Thursday, 26.04.2007

Want to surprise your friends? Like drinking beer? I bet you have got the Internet access. You are welcome, you match! YOuGotBeer offers a great chance!

Having said that, it’s important to remember that this service is specially for you as it a good helper. Just go to the site and purchase a beer from different bars and restaurants.

What is more, your friend will get an email asking them to provide their mailing address, and they’ll get their gift card in the mail a few days later. Also you can include the site’s widget on your page in order to get kudos or “thank you” words if they will be.

They say: “Buying someone a beer online is quick and easy, just like sending an e-card…you can even specify the send date! NEVER forget another birthday or special occasion!

“You should buy him a beer!” That is what a co-worker said to me one day as we were working. Unfortunately, the ‘him’ in that statement was someone who lived across the country. We said to ourselves, “Surely there’s a way to buy someone a beer online” but there wasn’t! So, with necessity being the mother of invention and our market research showing that EVERYONE loves to have a beer on someone else’s dime, we set out to build a website that would allow its visitors to buy someone a beer online. YouGotBeer.com was born! The site went live in December of 2005 and we’ve been making the days of our beer recipients ever since! Beer senders love it as well. Now it’s easy for a father to be the first to buy his son a beer even if he’s miles and miles away at college. It’s also a great token of appreciation to thank someone at work. Buying someone a beer has a way of saying what needs to be said without breaking the bank. You’ll never hear ‘last call’ at YGB so give us a try and make someone’s day…”

E-mail bankruptcy

Wednesday, 25.04.2007

You like sending emails? And reply to them? I don’t believe you. When this service (e-mail) came into the world, some things became easy to use in our jigsaw. If you type well it won’t be a problem to answer somebody in the shortest possible time. Of course now you may possibly prefer video mail.

Apparently, you are familiar by hearsay with e-mail bancruptcy?! This term denotes that you are getting into trouble so deeply that you say “email bankruptcy”. To put it in another way, you send email everyone and say “sorry, I got your email but I just can’t deal with it/am deleting it, so if it’s important email me back.”

Why does this happen? I can’t imagine. I never delete or jettison any thing that could be useful in the near future, even if I needn’t it at the monent. Just spam email I detest. Almost every day I receive viagra spam. I have no idea how to manage with junk e-mail.

Well, don’t send me your email or better resend it in some time. This is an acute problem. Continuous slump… “Dear person who sent me a yet-unanswered e-mail, I apologize, but I am declaring e-mail bankruptcy.”

MySay.com: How Are You Today?

Monday, 23.04.2007

Most of us perhaps like sending SMS, mainly when you can’t talk or don’t know how to express it in words, but sometimes you get into trouble typing some message’s text if you are pressed for time. MySay will help you to solve a problem.

MySay.com is like twitter but with voice meassage instead of text. It means that now you can feel a person’s attitude of mind and feelings he or she wants to explain you in messages. Anyway, you can either attach your voice or at least just send a voice message via MySay.

What is more, if you decide to test it, you dial the specific country number and record your message. You can send these message updates to certain friends, email them, post them to a website, send them to friends’ phones, or just allow others to listen to them on the home site. If you’d rather do it all via the web, you can send text that will be converted into a voice stream by one of their “robots”, or you can upload an MP3 file.

Perhaps the most important point, however, is a widget that you can easily add to social networks. Check out most popular messages from MySay users, they can be useful for you.

They say: “mySay is a phone service for staying in touch with friends. It’s a single phone number that lets you:

  • Record updates for your friends to hear;
  • Listen to updates from your friends;
  • Stick a widget on your blog or web page so your friends can hear you when they visit.

First you signup (mySay is Free) and invite some friends. Then anytime you want to update them, say hello, share some news or whatever, just dial mySay and say what’s on your mind. If your friends have joined, they can hear you when they phone in (or listen on the web or by email). If they haven’t joined, its ok, we’ll email them a link so they can listen anyway.

If you want, you can stick a little widget on your web page or blog (MySpace, Xanga, etc.) and visitors to that page can hear what you said - it’s a great way to keep in touch with the whole world.
If you’re the private type, no problem, mark your profile as private during signup and Listeners will need your permission to hear what you say. You can also upload MP3 files, or have our robots do the talking for you.

Whether you like to talk, listen or both, there’s lots of stuff for you to do on mySay:

  • Update your friends;
  • Hear what they are up to;
  • Update your fan club and let them hear you - the personal touch;
  • Update your team; let them know the latest;
  • Let visitors to your Web page or blog hear you;
  • Find and listen to interesting people”

Enjoy it!
